RunGordoRun,
I've been a gordita my whoooole life and I'm tired of it! I'm tired of being the chubby one. I decided recently that its time for a change. NOW. I don't want to get any older unhappy with my pansa. Its time to see whats underneath. I don't want to wear sweaters in the summer anymore!
I am really new to running; I started in August and now I'm addicted. I'm not the best or the fastest runner but slow motion is better than no motion. I have my first half marathon in a few weeks and I am soooo excited. I do not care to win or even finish with a great time, I just want to prove to myself that I am capable of completing it. I can do this!
I run for me. And I am trying to get my neighborhood gorditas to join me. Running is the bomb and I have been sharing my new found love with whoever will listen to me.
When I saw this blog I smiled. I was thrilled to see a running site that did not feature just stories on 100th time marathon runners, 5 minute miles, or six pack abs- that's certainly not me. While those photos and stories are awesome and great for motivation on what I can become, they are not who I am now; I'm just a little gordita who is trying her best. So, thanks RunGordoRun for creating a space for REAL people, who run.
